About Ledgr

Ledgr started as a single question — how much do you need to save, and what will it grow into? — and has grown into a small toolkit for the rest of the budget: planning income by paycheck, building an emergency fund, paying off debt faster, catching the small expenses that quietly add up, and running a full cash stuffing system from guide to binder to labels.

Every tool runs entirely in your browser. There's no account to create and no data to hand over — the numbers you type in are used only to compute a result on your screen, and nothing is transmitted, logged, or stored.

What's Here

For planning and growth: the Savings & Growth Calculator, the Zero-Based Budget Planner (with a paycheck-by-paycheck mode), the Sinking Fund Calculator, the Emergency Fund Runway Calculator, the Debt Snowball vs. Avalanche Calculator, and the Sneaky Expense Calculator.

For cash stuffing specifically: the Cash Stuffing 101 guide, the Binder Planner, the Savings Challenge Tracker, and the Label Studio.

And if a term ever needs defining, the Budgeting Glossary covers everything from sinking funds to APR to the debt payoff math above.

How the numbers are calculated

Every calculator here uses standard, well-established personal finance formulas — future value of an annuity for compounding growth, straightforward amortization for debt payoff, simple proportional math for budgets and sinking funds. Nothing is hidden behind a black box: it's the same math you'd find in a textbook or a financial calculator, just wired up to update as you type. Edge cases — a 0% return, an empty field — are handled explicitly rather than left to silently break.

These are projections, not guarantees. Real markets and real bills don't move in smooth, constant lines — actual results will be lumpier than any calculator's straight-line estimate. Treat the output as a planning tool, not a promise.

Why Ledgr Exists

Most budgeting problems aren't hard math — they're friction. Doing the arithmetic by hand, remembering which formula applies, or adapting someone else's spreadsheet template is often enough to make people give up before they start. Ledgr exists to remove that friction: type in your real numbers, get a real answer immediately, and get back to your day.
